Dr. Jose Aviles is currently a vice-principal in the Franklin township public schools. He is currently at Sampson G. Smith school and has plan of implementing his peer mentorship program within that district. Before that he was Dean of Students at Newark Collegiate Academy a TEAM K.I.P.P. school. It is one of the highest performing schools in New Jersey where he help implement it’s character education curriculum and is the creator of their Peer Mentorship Program. Dr. Aviles was an adjunct professor at St. Peter’s University where he taught urban communication, contemporary city and policy analysis and social activism.
He is also the Author of “Peer Mentorship in High School: A Comprehensive Guide to Implementing a Successful Peer Mentorship Program in Your School.”
